Workshop notes
Examples of jobs and vehicles that have come through the workshop, based on stories and photos from the previous Aðalverkstæðið website.

Tow bars
We source and install tow bars for most vehicle types.

Timing belt replacement
Send us a message on Facebook, email us, call, text or just stop by for a quote on a timing belt change.

Cause or effect
Here you can see what happened when a coil spring broke on a VW: it pressed against the tyre and damaged it. The owner noticed nothing, but did complain about a smell of rubber.

The “sick” Land Rover Defender
This “sick” Land Rover Defender ambulance with a 3.5-litre V8 came to visit us. Its owner, Emily Lethbridge, writes an entertaining blog and travels around Iceland after studying Old Icelandic. We were taken with the vehicle: a former British military ambulance she has adapted slightly so she can travel the country in it. It has only 30,000 km on the clock but plenty of experience behind it. We thank Emily for her custom and wish her a good journey.

Batteries
The team at Aðalverkstæðið could not help laughing after replacing both batteries in a Mercedes-Benz we had in for repair. As you can see, the size difference is considerable — but good things come in small packages. Frank the watchmaker was delighted with us and gave us some smart G-Shock caps to wear at work when we need to look extra sharp.

The British Empire
Some days line up differently. Recently it turned into a genuine Jaguar day at Aðalverkstæðið when three Jaguars were booked in for repairs on the same day. Bjartur did not mind at all — he is a keen enthusiast of British cars.

Our fourth lift
We recently installed a fourth lift in the workshop. The photos from the installation come from our previous website.

The workshop
The facility at Malarhöfði 2 handles both everyday cars and larger jobs. [MISSING: more recent workshop photos]
